Heather Badini received her LPC in Clinical Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado in 2009. She has worked in Community Mental Health since 2001 where she began identifying and treating individuals with hoarding symptoms through community based interventions. She currently manages the assessment department at Denver Springs where she specializes in individuals that are in crisis situations. She is certified in addiction counseling and has been working with individuals with addictions since 2001. She received her CAC III in 2007. She has been providing training in the community on hoarding since 2008 and providing consultation and education to professionals working with people who are hoarding. Heather’s approach to therapeutic interventions includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Recovery based models such as Psychiatric Rehabilitation.
